Who We Are
In its 32nd year, Tink-A-Tako celebrates authentic Mexican cooking and prides itself on being one of the original San Antonio Mexican restaurants. We have been serving the city of San Antonio proudly since 1986, and we are thrilled to announce the franchising of our restaurants in other states.
Part of the incredible story of Tink-A-Tako has been that we have been able to serve millions of San Antonio residents throughout both childhood and adulthood. Because of our endurance and staying power, we are now in a position to bring other states this dining experience. Although we have over ten locations throughout the city, our #1 restaurant remains at its original location: 3555 Fredericksburg Road.
We serve more than just a simple breakfast taco, Mexican plate, parrillada or adult beverage – we now offer other delightful fare like live music and karaoke!

I used to live on the border of Mexico & I moved here 5 months ago. I missed the food so bad, and this has been the only place that cooks like home! Everything was perfect! And sooooo delicious! Definitely ordering Uber Eats from here again!
Quite a surprise. Nicely decorated, great service, and the corn tortillas were the best ever by far. Menus was outstanding as was the Carne Gisada. Going to come back when we’re in town. Can’t miss it.
This is my definite go to spot for lunch and my morning tacos. All the workers here are awesome, especially Angie she is always in an awesome mood and always makes ordering on the phone as easy as possible. My tacos always full never skimped out and always so much flavor. It tends to get a little busy but always worth it.
Well, I thought I try something new. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food I got today. My interest is always about the tortilla. When mine arrived to my table I first smelled them! Wow! They have that great smell I’m always looking for. I then knew I was going to enjoy my breakfast. Traditional music on the back ground. Clean tables. Attentive waitress. Guess I’ll be back when I’m in the area.
It was are first time here to eat! My wife and I have eaten plenty of mexican food in the area and the food was great! We ate the buffet and it was very good ! The only thing that was ok were the refried beans. The price was right and the service was great. Buffet had : enchiladas, menudo , fidelo , carne gesada, chalupas, crispy tacos ……. You must try it! I will try it again!

We’ve been looking for a good Mexican spot close to home and who would’ve thought we’d find it at this chain? The severs are always so courteous, it’s never packed so you feel at ease. Also, the limonadas are fresh. The nachos here aren’t like the ones you get at many other places, with poorly constructed chips that get soggy under the weight of so much ground beef. These nachos, with the beef fajita, are perfectly proportioned so that you enjoy the taste of each ingredient.
